Former Eternal singer Louise Redknapp and footballing husband Jamie have teamed up with Linton Zoo to cuddle Linton's new lion cub Zuri and promote an African Wildlife appeal in conjunction with the Bill Jordan Foundation.
The couple arrived at the zoo on Thursday for a photo shoot for OK magazine.
After quitting Eternal in 1995 Louise embarked on a solo career that brought her 12 top 20 hits and she was named the sexiest woman of the decade by FHM in 2004.
More recently she has preferred the quiet life with Jamie and two-year-old son Charley.
But she could soon be back on our screens and radios after revealing she is to film a new series of The Clothes Show and would love to start singing again.
"I would love to go back to singing.
"But the first couple years after having Charley were so important and I wanted to be able to enjoy him," said Louise.
"But he's coming up to nursery age now."
The Bill Jordan Foundation, chaired by Adam Murray, needs to raise £300,000 to buy 2,600 acres of land to stop many thousands of animals being killed for fun.
Louise said: "I've always been a really big animal lover and I know Adam through the Redknapp family.
"He does a lot for children and animals which are my passions.
"This campaign is to stop people shooting down animals for fun.
"So we are here today to try and do something about it.
"We lead such busy lives in this day and age and it's easy to be ignorant about it. No one is to blame and it took someone like Adam to come to me and show what's going on.
"If I can make a tiny bit of difference to one animal then I'll be happy."
The former world middleweight and world super middleweight champion Steve Collins, with a record of 36 wins from 39 fights including 21 knockouts, was also at the zoo to support the foundation.
He said: "Anyone can support this charity, even the hard men of sport."
