QUITTING his job in London to set up his own business has allowed a Linton father to spend more time with his family.
Andy Davies was fed up with the daily commute to the capital so, inspired by his children, he set up a funhouse in his home village.
The first eight weeks of business have gone ‘better than expected’ at Play Daze, with children up to the age of ten enjoying the soft play, ball pool and slides.
“I’ve got children and I just thought it was a brilliant idea, and it just got me out of commuting into London,” said Mr Davies, who took two years to see his idea put in place and open.
“I’m happy to be here and I get a lot of really good feedback from a lot of parents that come,” he said.
“The kids enjoy it, especially when it’s warmer and the big doors are open and it lets the light in, it’s almost like being outside.”
One full-time member of staff is now employed at Play Daze, along with 12 to 15 part-time workers.
