A HAVERHILL business has become the first to sign up to a new mobile phone deal that sends Cambridge United supporters' cash back into their football club's coffers.
United centre-half Michael Morrison, who lives in Haverhill, helped launch the deal between St Ives-based telecommunications company Innovate and property maintenance company Anglian All Trades at the latter’s offices in Hollands Road, Haverhill.

Innovate, which runs Cambridge United FC mobile on behalf of the club, has signed up Anglian All Trades to a deal that sees a portion of any profits raised going back to the football club.

The deal was struck by Anglian All Trades’ directors Steve Bowak, Helen Cornwell and Peter Beasley.

Mr Bowak explained: “Helen’s husband is a Cambridge United supporter and all her kids support Cambridge United so it was a nice contribution to go along with the whole scheme.”

Anglian All Trades is the first company to sign up to the deal, which also sees it named in every match-day programme as the sponsor of a United player.

The business also gets a signed player’s shirt at the end of the season.
