THE winner of a contest to design the logo and marketing materials for last year's Bury St Edmunds Fringe Festival has been snapped up by Haverhill company Pure Energy Multimedia.
The design and marketing agency, which has offices in Weaver’s Mill, has recruited Helen Mayes as a graphic designer.
Last year, while still an undergraduate, Helen caught the eye of many within the industry, including Pure Energy’s managing director Jason Fitzpatrick, after her work was selected by the organisers of the Fringe Festival.
Mr Fitzpatrick said: “Helen’s a great catch for us.
“She’s a bright star and clearly has bags of design talent, insight and gusto.
“Her skills will complement the service we currently provide to our clients and she will play an integral role in shaping future development.
“Helen has already started on a number of projects including recent commissions from Haverhill Enterprise and Genzyme.
“I’m really looking forward to the vitality she will bring to our team.”
Helen said: “Pure Energy is lots of things for me but essentially it’s a company with a passion for pushing the boundaries in digital communication.
“A desire to explore design and use it in practical and effective ways has driven me for the last five years so it feels like a natural fit.
“It’s an exciting company that has already made a lot of impact.
“I want to be part of where it goes next.”
