A HAVERHILL golf professional took the London Golf Show by storm last month with his invention that helps golfers improve their putting.
Stuart Smith, who lives in Haverhill, and teaches at Heydon Grange Golf Club, launched his new product at the show and companies across the globe have expressed interest in becoming sales agents for the product.

The Putt Easy, launched by Stuart’s company Easy Way Golf, is aimed at ensuring all players perform the correct swing action and make proper contact with the ball when putting.

Stuart said: “It was the first show we had done as a company and we were nervous we would be lost among all the big names in the golfing world.

“However, we did extremely well and were overwhelmed by the level of interest particularly from the trade.”

The show had 10,000 visitors a day while it was running at the Excel Centre, London.

Stuart said: “We were hoping to get the product properly launched and accepted in the UK but now we can concentrate on the international markets much earlier as well as a result of the show.”
