ACCOUNTING students from Haverhill were part of a class at West Suffolk College that scored a pass rate of 100 per cent on three exams – more than 30 per cent above the national average.
Kerry Lewis, assistant bursar at Barnardiston Preparatory School, and Hayley Brook, of Willis Gambier in Saffron Walden (both from Haverhill), both took part in the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) level four exams in December.

They were part of the 100 per cent that passed the planning and control of resources, management of performance and enhancement of business tax papers of the AAT exams while they were also part of 93 per cent of the class that passed personal tax, again above the national average.

Course director Alison Dunn said: "All the students were nervous about sitting their first Level Four exams, not believing that they could replicate the achievements of our previous students.

"However, they were thrilled to realise that their tutors had been right all along!

"We congratulate all the students on their achievements and wish them continued success for their last AAT exams in June."
