Entry forms are now available for the 19th Haverhill Sinfonia Soloist Competition, which takes place on Saturday, September 27. Closing date for entries is August 21.
The categories are woodwind, brass, strings (including guitar and harp), piano and singers.

Competitors may be of any age and nationality and should be of diploma standard, or at least ABRSM grade eight distinction.

There are 35 prizes and engagements to the value of £8,250. Sponsors of this year's competition are Days Inn Haverhill, Empire Pianos (Braintree), Evans-Pughe Strings of Hitchin Ltd, figleaves.com, Haverhill Round Table, Marchant Manufacturing Co Ltd, Pat Taylor and Nicholas Jarman, Music Sales Group, Printwise (Haverhill) Ltd, Sandarac Ltd, STP Stationery and the Herbert Group.
