TALK: Haverhill Library hosts a talk by former Haverhill auctioneer Neil Lanham, on the history of Haverhill in the 1960s.
The talk is part of Top Time, in the library – a social afternoon aimed at older people.

It takes place on Tuesday, from 2pm to 4pm and there will be refreshments available.

EE MORNING: Members of Haverhill Guiding Association will be demonstrating their expert tea and coffee-making skills to raise funds for St Nicholas Hospice, on Saturday, in the Old Independent Church Hall, Hamlet Road, Haverhill, from 10am to 12noon.

There will be home-made cakes to take away.



GARDENING FOR TODDLERS: Take your green-fingered toddler to the visitor centre of East Town Park, Haverhill, on Tuesday, and pot up some colourful plants.

The session runs from 10.30am to 11.30am and each child will take home their own little plant.

Old clothes are required as things could get messy.

This is for pre-school age children and costs £2 per child.

Booking is essential on 01284 757067.

LIVING HISTORY: Learn about the Romano-British way of family life at West Stow Country Park and Anglo-Saxon Village, Bury St Edmunds, on Saturday and Sunday.

Costume group Venta will talk visitors through crafts from the first century AD.

Entry costs £6 for adults and £5 for children and concessions and a family ticket is available for £17.50.
