RUBY AND HER HORSES: The next talk by the Bumpstead Boys on Ruby And Her Horses takes place at Horseheath Village Hall, on Saturday, May 3.

EXHIBITION: Clare Art Club is holding an art and craft exhibition, at Clare Town Hall, from Saturday, May 3, to Monday, May 5, from 10am to 4pm.

There will be original pain
tings, prints, crafts and cards for sale, plus demonstrations and a children’s art competition.

Entry is free and there will be refreshments available.



RAMBLE: Newmarket Ramblers set off from Fulbourn recreation ground car park, at 10am on Sunday, for a six-and-a-half-mile walk.

WALK: Enjoy a long walk through the countryside and local villages from Wandlebury Country Park to the new Coton Countryside Reserve, on Saturday, from 10am to 5pm.

Dress according to the weather, with sturdy footwear, and take a picnic or buy refreshments in one of the tea gardens along the way.

It costs £5 per adult and places can be booked by calling 01223 243830.



BOOK FAIR: There will be a secondhand book fair at Kedington Church, in aid of church funds, on Saturday, May 3, from 11am to 4pm.

FARMERS’ FAYRE: There is a farmers’ fayre on Saturday, at the memorial hall, Great Shelford, from 9.30am to 12.30pm, and a farmers’ market in Barnston Village Hall, from 10am to 12noon the same day.
