DUCK RACE: Kedington Duck Race takes place on Monday, starting at 1pm from Mill Bridge, and finishing at the weir.
There will be a barbecue and drinks available at the Great Meadow.

Tickets for ducks, costing £1, can be bought in advance from the village newsagent or stores, and from 12noon until the start of the race, on the river bank near Mill Bridge.

ANT SALE: A large variety of plants will be on offer at great low prices when Ridgewell Garden Society holds a sale on the village green from 11am until 1pm on Saturday, May 17.

Anyone interested in hiring a stall for the plant sale should contact Sil Clay on 01440 785729.



MAY DAY DANCING: There will be May Day morris dancing at Wandlebury Country Park.

From 5.30am until 6.15am, on Monday, the Devils Dyke Morris Men will dance to greet the summer sun as it rises above the woodlands of Wandlebury.

This event is free and there is no need to book; meet on the picnic field.

This is preceded by a family May Day celebration, on Saturday, at the park, where there will be maypole dancing and craft activities.

Booking for this event is essential and costs £4 per child.

BOOK FAIR: There is a secondhand book fair at Kedington Church on Saturday, from 11am to 4pm, in aid of church funds.



WALK: Enjoy a five-mile walk with Newmarket Ramblers, on Sunday, starting at Barrow church.

If you fancy a longer hike, the group is undertaking a 12-mile walk on the same day, setting off from Rougham church.

Both walks start at 10am.
