GARAGE SALE: The Salvation Army's Clements Community Shop will host a garage sale on Saturday, May 10, from 10am to 12 noon.
Good quality second-hand furniture will be available along with refreshments at the shop in Leiston Road, Haverhill.

CAR BOOT SALE: There will be a car boot sale in aid of St Nicholas Hospice, Bury St Edmunds, on Sunday, May 18, at Wickhambrook Re
creation Ground.

It runs from 1pm to 4pm.



RUBY AND HER HORSES: The popular true tale – told verbally and through song – of a local woman's love of horses and her life through the agricultural depression – stops at Glemsford on Saturday.

WALK: Sudbury Leisure Centre car park is the starting point for Newmarket Ramblers' on Sunday, at 10am, when the group sets off on a six-mile walk.

AUDITIONS: Ketton Players will be holding auditions today at 7.30pm, for Scrooge – The Musical.

The group intends to put the show on in November or December.

Auditions take place at Kedington Community Centre and more information is available from 01440 704320.

BEOWULF: Visit West Stow Country Park and Anglo-Saxon Village this weekend to learn more about Beowulf and the Saxons through a costume re-enactment group called the Wulfingas.

The site is open from 10am to 5pm (last entry at 4pm) and entry costs £6 for adults, £5 for children and concessions, and £17.50 for a family ticket.
