SHOW: Ridgewell Summer Show takes place on Saturday, at the village hall site in Drury Lane.
Entry costs £1 per adult and is free for accompanied children under 16.

Gates open at 1.30pm and the show will be opened by Calamity Clown.

There will be plenty to occupy families, including a free bouncy castle.

CONCERT: Cambridge Chorale
is joined by Prime Brass for a concert of John Rutter's Gloria and other superb classics for choir, organ and brass.

It takes place at St Mary's Church, Saffron Walden, on Saturday, at 7.30pm.

FÊTE: Grand National winner Bob Champion will open Wickhambrook Fête, which takes place on the village's playing fields on Saturday.

Entertainments will include bird of prey flying displays by The Raptor Trust, Suffolk Punches from Rede Hall, Newmarket Hotshots majorettes, Haverhill Youth and Community Silver Band, a grand draw with a £350 first prize, fun fair, quad bikes, search and rescue dog display, stalls, food and drink and lots more.

A car boot sale will also run alongside the fete from midday to 5pm. Pitches cost £6. Details from David Turner on 01440 820346.

FÊTE: Castle Camps Recreation Ground will be the site of a village fête and sports day, on Saturday.

The event starts at 1.45pm, with the main attraction, a mini fun-run (complete with Olympic torch) commences at 2pm.

Throughout the day, attractions including bouncy castles, swing boats, and live bands will keep the crowds entertained.
