Hundreds of local people are dusting off their walking boots and stretching their legs in preparation for the Cambridge Oxfam Walk which takes place on Sunday, along with Janet Street-Porter, vice president of the Ramblers' Association.
This year's walk is set in the beautiful countryside surrounding Wimpole Hall with a choice of walks from four miles to full marathon. All routes are well signed and marshalled with refreshments at regular checkpoints. Participants and spectators will also be able to enjoy a variety of entertainments and activities including live music, face-painting and children's games as well as Wimpole Hall and Home Farm.

Cambridge Walk co-chairman, David Barnett said: "The Cambridge Walk is Oxfam's largest local fund raising event and this is entirely due to the stamina and generosity of local people. Anyone can take part and it's a terrific family day out."
