Early or late buses are a nightmare

I WOULD like to add some comments about the bus shelter in Shetland Road. I live in Malin Close and can see the buses pass from my garden.
Sometimes the bus is up to six minutes early and up to seven or eight minutes late.

That is a long time to wait when it raining.

As for the buses standing at the stop for long periods of time, this is so the bus can keep to the timetable.

I have phoned Stagecoach twice to complain about the bus being too early and now some, not all, drivers stop outside the Vixen pub in Chalkstone Way by the school, or in Shetland Road to catch up on time.

Either way, we cannot win.

People that cannot see the bus stop have to get there early and stand in the rain, like today. The bus is due at 11.51am. It is now 11.56am and I have not seen the bus pass or it was very early.

LAURIE GOTT,

via e-mail.
