ON Saturday on the pavement outside the British Heart Foundation shop was a pile of leaflets advertising a local takeaway shop.
It looked so unsightly. I immediately bent down and picked them up and a further piece of rubbish.

I kept one so that I could ring the outlet to inform them that the person they had paid to hand them out had apparently dropped them on the pavement, at the same time saying in quite a loud voice: “It takes something when a disabled person bends down and picks rubbish up from our street."

All this was taking place in front of a man standing outside the British Heart Foundation and within inches of my hand. He just stood there and watched me!

The member of staff I spoke to was apologetic and said he would pass my message onto the manager. I hope action was taken.

DISAPPOINTED,

Name address supplied.
