IF I may, I would like to use your letters page to put on record my thanks to the hard-working waitresses and waiter at last Saturday's Burns' Night supper concert at Kedington Community Centre, which raised more than £590 for the St Peter and Paul Loo Fund.
Their swift and unobtrusive service complemented the excellent catering by Paul and Jill Davies from Gourmet Knights. Add to that some soul-lifting singing from St Edmundsbury Male Voice Choir and stirring brass playing from TUBE, the unusual brass ensemble, and you have a recipe for a great evening’s entertainment.
The object of the appeal is to install toilet facilities in St Peter and Paul, Kedington, which is referred to by many as the Westminster Abbey of Suffolk, if not East Anglia.
Any donations to bring the installation day closer would be greatly appreciated by visitors and the congregation.
Tony Farr,
Barton Grove
Kedington.
