I would like to say a very big thank-you to all our customers who support our independent farmers' market here in Helions Bumpstead.
Since the market began, in November 2005, the village hall has been able to raise the fantastic sum of £5,200.
This has helped to fund refurbishment projects including the creation of more equipment storage space for our regular bowls club, toddler
group and fitness classes.
Due to this additional storage facility the hall is now used every morning and nearly every evening each week.
Your support has been very much appreciated over the years and we would be grateful for your continuing support.
Our market was the first independent market in the area raising money for our ageing village hall, which is a registered charity.
The farmers' markets are held from 10am to 12pm, on the third Saturday of each month, at Helions Bumpstead Village Hall, Mill Road.
Stalls include beef, pork, eggs, bread, preserves, cakes, vegetables, plants, vegetarian meals, savoury pies and soups, fair trade products, organic fruit juices, handmade jewellery, cards and crafts.
Our next market will be on Saturday, June 21.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Mrs Terri Freight Chairman of Helions Bumpstead Village Hall
