Dan Hayes and Pete Richards follow the career of the folk-rock SIMON AND GARFUNKEL duo from Queens on Thursday, February 21 at 8pm in THROUGH THE YEARS.

DEEFORM, a DJ/Club night for over 16s, is being held on Friday, February 22 from 7.30pm to midnight.

If jazz is your thing, come along on Friday, March 1 at 8pm for the All That Jazz Club. TINA MAY, one of the most popular vocalists on the UK jazz scene will be joined by the HANNAH HORTON QUARTET. Tina was winner of the vocal jazz award at the BT Jazz awards. Highly acclaimed jazz

saxophonist Hannah will alternate on tenor and baritone saxophones and will be joined by John Crawford on piano, Rob Statham on bass, and Nic France on drums.

On the cinema front RISE OF THE GUARDIANS (PG) is on Thursday, February 21 at 10.30am. Helen Hunt was BAFTA and Oscar nominated for her role in THE SESSIONS (15) showing on Tuesday, February 26 at 7.45pm. Irish Reel Culture film WHAT RICHARD DID (15) is showing on Wednesday, February 27 at 7.45pm. Finally, LINCOLN (12A) is showing on Thursday, February 28 at 7.45pm. Daniel Day-Lewis won Best Actor at the Baftas for his portrayal of the American president as he struggled with his adversaries and his conscience to abolish slavery as the Civil War rages.

This week’s talk by Dr Roger Simpson on Victorian Paintings takes place on Wednesday, February 27, Charles Collins The Resurgence of Religion.
