PLANS to rebuild and relocate Place Court residential care home in Haverhill would significantly ease the town's current shortage of places for people with dementia — according to the man heading a countywide review of residential care services.
Suffolk County Council wants to build the new home on the site of Chalkstone Middle School, which shuts in the summer of 2011.

The new-look Place Court would not only almost double to 60 the number of residents it could accommodate, it would incorporate designs centred around new thinking that more light, improved noise insulation, better use of space and arranging rooms in clusters provides a nicer enviromnment for residents with dementia.
