A CARE WORKER stole £1,300 from an elderly woman in her care.
Tarnia Neville, 41, of London Road, Sawston, pleaded guilty to stealing the cash from the 79-year-old and was sentenced at Cambridge Crown Court last Tuesday.
Hundreds of pounds at a time were stolen over a six-week period in January and February this year after Neville stole the woman's cash card.
Neville was given a six-month prison term suspended for 18 months and ordered to carry out 175 hours of unpaid work. Det Sgt Chris Wilson said: "Neville targeted her and abused this woman's trust in the worst possible way."
