A HAVERHILL woman is warning pet-owners that it's not only dogs off leads which can pose a threat, after her cat was killed.
Emma Carter, 31, of Chalkstone Way, called the Echo in response to stories in last week’s paper about two dog attacks. In each case the dogs had been off the leads.

But Mrs Carter said her cat Pepper had been killed by a dog which was on its lead – and said the police told her as a result there were no grounds for them to take action.

A Suffolk Police spokeswoman said each incident reported to them would be investigated on a case-by-case basis, but if people wanted further advice to contact their local police station for information.
