VOLUNTEERS are are being sought to help carry out basic gardening tasks for those unable to manage on their own.
Haverhill Volunteer Centre wants to hear from anyone who can spare an hour or two each week to help elderly or disabled people tend their gardens,
Volunteers will be allocated a garden close to where they live, and will only have to help with straightforward tasks such as weeding and grass cutting.
Expenses can also be met and tools and safety equipment provided if necessary.
Only over 16s can apply and statutary Criminal Records Bureau checks will have to be completed.
