Massive hunt for knifeman

HAVERHILL'S Clements estate was a mass of blue lights on Saturday, as police responded en masse to a call about a man with a knife.
The incident, which took place at around 1pm, resulted in two armed response vehicles, a dog unit, the force helicopter and officers from the town's police station were deployed to search around Abercorn Court, Layer Road and Cornwallis Road.

A man and a woman had been injured in an assault.

The woman suffered injuries to the leg, and the man suffered injuries to his head and wrists.

A man was arrested in Haverhill on Sunday night in connection with the incident.

Lee Holland, 25, of Wellington Terrace, Haverhill, has been charged with two counts of assault.
