FOLLOWING our story last week about four-year-old Bradley Phillips' 7ft-tall sunflower, we've been contacted by other Echo readers, who think their sunflowers are pretty special too.
Barbara Jeffs, of Landseer Court, Haverhill, has measured one of her sunflowers at 10ft.

It originally was planted by her grandaughter, who gave it to Mrs Jeffs when she moved to Germany and couldn't take it with her.

Mrs Jeffs said she had been feeding the plant gardeners' favourite, Miracle Gro.

AND it's happy faces all round in Fern Grove, Haverhill, where Tracey Wright also has a 10ft sunflower.

She and her husband Brian planted the sunflower to bring some extra sunshine into the life of their one-year-old daughter Chloe, who has Down's Syndrome.

Chloe has a toy sunflower, which sings, and is referred to by her parents as a 'little ray of sunshine', so planting the sunflower seemed apt.
