A MURDER Mystery at Sturmer Village Hall saw more than 45 would-be sleuths gather to solve the puzzle of the Murder At St Pippin's College, and in the process raise hundreds of pounds for Haverhill Performing Arts Festival.
The event was organised by festival committee member Helen Burns, who along with a cast of family and friends provided the evening's entertainment as the staff of St Pippins, with Inspector IB Clueless (Lily Burns), provided clues.

The evening raised £563 for the festival, which takes place at Haverhill Arts Centre in November and is open to entrants aged up to 18.

The new music section will be held from Friday, November 20 to Sunday, November 22 and the speech and drama section from Friday, November 27 to Monday, November 30.

Closing date for entries is September 12 and copies of the syllabus will be available from Haverhill Arts Centre or by contacting chairman Sam Tucker on 01440 714648.
