A HAVERHILL teenager has dived headfirst into the world of business at the age of just 17 after inheriting some money from her grandmother.
Shannon Hickford has opened Beau Nails, above Kims Kuts in Queen Street, Haverhill, after obtaining her NVQ level one in beauty therapy at West Suffolk College.

And business has already picked up pretty quickly in the ten days she has been open.

Shannon said: “I just want my customers to feel good about themselves and whatever treatment they have done, I will do it well.”

She will return to West Suffolk College in September to study for her NVQ level two award in beauty therapy, but Beau Nails will continue to be open when she is in Haverhill.

For the next ten weeks Beau Nails will be open from 9am every day, apart from Monday and Sunday, and shut at 4pm on Tuesday, 1pm on Wednesday and Thursday, 5pm on Friday, and 3pm on Saturday.
