Police at serious crash in Sturmer - roads closed

Police are currently at the scene of a serious injury RTC in Haverhill.
Emergency services were called at 7.15am to the A1017 where a silver VW Sharan and a green Renault Clio had been in collision.

The drivers of both vehicles were trapped and have been freed by the fire service. The male has been released from the VW and taken to Addenbrookes Hospital with serious chest and pelvic injuries. The female has been released from the Clio, she has suffered multiple, life-threatening injuries and is described as in a critical condition.

The road has been closed off between the Rowley Hill roundabout and the Days Inn roundabout. Any witnesses to the collision should call the Bury Roads Policing Unit on 01284 774100.
