AN APPEAL court's decision to cut by one third the sentence of a drug-driver who killed a pensioner as he delivered Christmas presents to his family in Haverhill has been slammed for 'sending out the wrong message'.
Don McCallum, of Aragon Road, Haverhill, lost his father, 76-year-old Don senior, when he was hit by a Toyota MR2 on the A11, close to the A505 slip road, at 4pm on December 3, 2007.
