A SHADE of pink dominated the day at a Haverhill hairdressing salon as staff wore the colour in one way or another to help raise money for a cancer charity.
Workers at D:fine, in High Street, spent their Saturday wearing pink wigs, T-shirts, tights, make up, and even cowgirl hats, all to raise funds for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which has been running throughout October.

Joint owner of the salon Michelle Wicks was delighted with the response of the staff and customers to the fundraising idea.

She said: "It was a very good response. Everyone enjoyed it and responded well to it.

"Absolutely everyone participated in it, even people who were just coming in to buy products."

Donations and a raffle from the day have already raised £200, with more money expected to be gleaned from the sale of Breast Cancer Awareness badges in the salon.
