Search begins to find 88 new pitches for travellers

SOUTH Cambridgeshire will need to create at least 88 new permanent travellers' pitches by 2021, as required by the East of England Plan.
The East of England Regional Assembly (EERA) drew up the plan, which councillor David Bard, South Cambridgeshire Council's (SCDC) new lead member for communities, this week agreed to consult on potential site options and planning policies for gypsy and traveller pitches in the district.
