Staff come face-to-face with burglar

A BURGLAR was stopped in his tracks by a member of staff during one of two break-ins that took place over a nine day period at different industrial units in Homefield Road, Haverhill.
In the first burglary a shed at a unit was broken into after its lock was forced and copper wiring was stolen, between Monday, January 25 and Friday 29.
On Tuesday, February 2, between 12.15am and 12.30am, two burglars got into a warehouse after forcing open a window but fled empty handed after being disturbed by a member of staff.
Both men were described as being white and in their early 20s.
One was about 5ft 6in tall, of slim build with a slightly tanned complexion and wore a white hooded, spotted jacket.
The other man was about 5ft 8in tall, slimly built and wearing a black hooded jacket.
