AS with last week's thought by the Rev Nigel Bishop, I have certainly noticed that as one travels around Haverhill it is also clear to see the investment that is currently being put into the road network - it seems that as one piece of work finishes another starts.
In considering our lives as a road, we could say the same.

God invests heavily in His people (not just some of the time) to smooth out any faults in our structure.

It's an ongoing process, but as God completes work on sections of our lives
we cannot fail to notice the difference.

Another part of the road system is signage.

It gives us direction, advisory instruction, commands, and limits that we must not go over or beyond.

When reading signs, the priority is always placed for us to read from the top downwards.

It is a good reminder that we should always take our guidance by looking upwards to God.

The Highway Code is given to help drivers be the best they can be, and so the Bible is God's instruction manual – given to us, to enable us to become better people.

In order to abide by its rule we need to follow what it says, and refresh ourselves of its content regularly.

The signpost which I would encourage you as readers to consider is the words of Jesus in John 14:6 "I am the way and the truth and the life" (NIV)

In following this sign, you'll arrive at the correct destination.
