COLLEAGUES of car crash victim Jane Gatt, who died in a bank holiday crash on the A143, have paid tribute to their late friend.
The 44-year-old, of Cavendish Court in Haverhill, died and three other people were critically hurt after the Citroen Saxo she was driving was in colision with a Porsche 944S about half-a-mile south of Highpoint Prison at 11am on Monday, May 5.

Her
colleagues at Haverhill Care Force, where Ms Gatt worked as a carer, paid tribute to her.

A statement from the company said: "Jane was a dedicated, valued member of our team for many years.

"She will be sorely missed by colleagues and clients.

"Our thoughts are with Jane's family at this difficult time."

Ten days after the accident, a female passenger in the Saxo and the male driver of the Porsche remain in critical condition in hospital.

A male passenger in the Saxo is also in a serious condition. All three are being cared for at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

An inquest into Ms Gatt's death was opened and adjourned last week by the coroner.

The son of one of the clients cared for by Ms Gatt has written movingly to the Echo of her 'friendship, love and humanity'.

You can read his letter on in our letters section.
