A WOMAN had to be rescued from her burning bungalow on New Year's Day.
The woman was trapped by the flames at her home in London Road Sawston, shortly before 9pm on January 1.

But fire crews were able to get to her and pull her out before sending her to hospital, where she was treated for smoke inhalation.

Her injuries are not thought to be serious.

A dog and a cat died in the blaze.

Full story in Thursday's Echo.
