The Haverhill Hub of a charity that celebrates its 25th anniversary this year is organising a ‘Trip Down Memory Lane Day’ and would like to welcome anyone involved over the years to drop in and take part.

The Befriending Scheme, originally called the West Suffolk Befriending Scheme and then the Suffolk Befriending Scheme before adopting its current name, celebrates its special anniversary in June

As part of those celebrations the Haverhill Hub is holding the day of nostalgia on Friday, March 14 at the Chalkstone Centre in Strasbourg Square.

The charity’s Haverhill volunteer co-ordinator, Ruth Barton, said: “I would like to extend an open invitation all ex-volunteers and members, contacts to drop in for a drink and a chat about the history of Haverhill Hub from 10am.

“We will be showing videos, photos and generally celebrating friends old and new.

“If people can’t make it but have any photos etc to share that they are happy to let us borrow for the day, then it would be great if they could let me know on 07757082310.”

The charity provides friendship and learning opportunities for adults (16yrs+) from vulnerable groups, including those with mental health needs, learning disabilities and older people.
