Early arrangements for Haverhill’s 2014 Summer Bash are falling into place but the event’s organisers are looking for extra support and help in a number of areas.
This year will see the event held over two days instead of just one, as it was last year.
A sporting day will be staged at The New Croft on Saturday, July 19 from 10am to 4pm, opening again from 6pm to midnight for a concert.
Sunday will be the main fun day as it was last year but with some new attractions that will be announced soon.
Although a couple of local businesses have already offered support the organisers are looking for more sponsors for the show, trophies and promotional material.
Advertisers are needed for the programme and prizes or vouchers for the various shows and raffle draw.
Sponsors are also required for the Tug of War, Dog Show, Cake Show, Baby Show, fancy dress etc, plus helpers on the day and for pub, gym and company teams for the Tug of War.
The Summer Bash committee would also like food and drink related businesses to tender for pitches, priced at £50 for small non-food/drink stalls, £75 medium and £100 large.
LAMPH will again be the main beneficiary, with the other local good causes to receive help to be announced soon.
If any of the public know a celebrity or an act for the show, or can help in any other way, please contact David Doughty at The Gallery in Haverhill on 01440 712333.
