Thomas Clark, aged 7, visited IWM Duxford as the winner of the Easter holidays competition to ‘Design your own Hobart Tank’.
Thomas of Maldon took inspiration from Easter holiday activities, where he explored the science of D-Day, to design an unconventional tank to overcome the challenges of landing on a defended beach.
Accompanied by his family, Thomas proudly accepted his prize, a family ticket to The Duxford Air Show on Saturday 13 or Sunday, 14 September, from Stephen Ball, Chief Executive of Lockheed Martin UK, who supported IWM Duxford’s Easter holiday activities.
Stephen Ball said: “Lockheed Martin is very excited to have supported this event. We are very impressed with the quality of the entries and hope that some young people will be inspired to follow careers in engineering.”
