Motorists faced tailback chaos and a diversion after a collision between two vehicles caused a stretch of Ehringshausen Way to be closed last Friday (18).
Police officers and fire appliances from Haverhill and Linton attended the scene after a Vauxhall Corsa and Peugeot 206 collided at about 4.15pm.
One fire appliance stayed on scene to carry out scene safety and assist other agencies in attendance.
The road was closed until 5.55pm to allow the two cars to be recovered, during which time traffic coming from the Sturmer Road direction was diverted by police up Manor Road.
Traffic coming from the Tesco direction had to turn around in the leisure centre car park and take an alternative route.
The ambulance service was called but was not needed to attend as there were no injuries.
