Thief took money from ATM and shared it

Police in Newmarket are appealing for witnesses after cash was stolen from an ATM in the town.

Between 4pm and 4.30pm on Wednesday, March 13 a man withdrew a quantity of cash from an ATM in Market Street, Newmarket. The man inadvertently forget to take the money from the machine and it appears the person who had been queuing behind him took the money, and gave two bystanders a quantity each before making off.

Anyone who saw this incident is asked to call PC Tim Walker at Suffolk Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
