Haverhill man charged with multiple burglaries and thefts across West Suffolk

A 25-year-old man from Haverhill has been charged with nine offences, including five burglaries, occurring in west Suffolk.

Omar Parfett, of Kirtling Place, Haverhill, was arrested on Tuesday, June 7, by officers investigating a number of burglaries occurring since the beginning of April this year.

Parfett was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning as has subsequently been charged with the following offences:

Five counts of burglary, occurring in: Hundred Acre Way, Red Lodge, on Friday 8 April, Newton Place, Haverhill, on Saturday 28 May, Recreation Road, Haverhill, on Friday 3 June, Freshfields, Newmarket, on Saturday 4 June and Mill Hill, Newmarket, the same day.

He has also been charged with four counts of taking a vehicle without the owners’ consent, occurring at: Hundred Acre Way, Red Lodge, on Friday 8 April, Newton Place, Haverhill, on Saturday 28 May, Recreation Road, Haverhill, on Friday 3 June and Freshfields, Newmarket, on Saturday 4 June

Parfett has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before South East Suffolk Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday, June 9.
