As part of national Volunteer’s Week two professionals who work in the voluntary sector in Haverhill are organising a special gathering to say thank you to those who give their time to help others for free.
Elaine Hewes, from Community Action Suffolk and Ruth Barton, volunteer co-ordinator for the Befriending Scheme are inviting all volunteers in Haverhill and the surrounding areas to the hank You Afternoon Tea on Thursday, June 5 from 1pm to 3pm at Haverhill House in Lower Downs Slade.
All volunteers are welcome to help them celebrate Volunteer’s Week, and anyone interested in volunteering and finding out more about it.
Volunteers are the lifeblood of many organisations, and work in communities in organisations such as; sports clubs, community groups and museums, as well as public sector bodies, schools and hospitals.
