More than 350 people turned out for the popular annual Great Wratting Village Fete on Saturday.
The community-run event, held at The Hall, raised almost £4,500 for the Great Wratting Church which is currently having its roof renovated.
Visitors enjoyed music from the Haverhill Silver Band and horse races by the Great Wratting Stakes, while youngsters made crowns fit for a queen and puppets for shows they performed throughout the day.
Cream teas, summer cocktails, cakes and traditional competitions like welly wanging, a coconut shy and a bouncy castle all added to people’s enjoyment.
Alan Newlands, chair of the fete committee, said: “The fete was a great success, many thanks to all involved. We were blessed with yet another glorious day, the feedback has been very positive and we now start planning for next year’s fete which will be on June 3, 2017.”
