The congregation at Haverhill Methodist Church showed their generosity as their donations of toys helped to ensure less priveleged children get to open a present this Christmas.
Town mayor Roger André was at the church for its annual toy service last Sunday (December 8), with the congregation invited to bring new toys as gifts to present in the morning service.
These were then passed on to social services to be handed out to families in and around Haverhill.
Cllr Andre said: “As we celebrate the birth of Jesus at Christmas, we remember that he came as ‘The Light of the World’, and these toys would bring light into the lives of children in Haverhill.”
