Haverhill Methodist Church to hold free course

Haverhill Methodist Church will hold a series of informal meetings for people to come along and discuss the basics of Christianity.

‘The Alpha Course’ will consist of a series of meetings on Wednesdays, starting next week (September 26).

The evenings will begin with a meal at 7pm, followed by a talk shown on DVD, and then the opportunity for conversations and questions on that evening’s topic, finishing at around 9.30pm.

Attendance at all of the events is free, but places must be booked before going.

Revd Nigel Bishop, who is running the course with Capt Andrew Payne from St Mary’s Church and other church members, said: “The Alpha Course will give people the chance to explore some of life’s big questions.

“The course is suitable for anyone – either with no church background or knowledge about the Christian faith, or those who just want to ‘brush up’ on their faith.”

To book a place on the Alpha Course, call Revd Bishop on 07530 844322 or visit uk.alpha.org
