A Haverhill pre-school is hoping parent power can help it to transform an area currently fenced off from the children into a garden where they can enjoy playing, learning and relaxation.
Little Wonders, next to Westfield Primary School in Chalkstone Way, wants to create a vegetable patch, forest schools area and exploratory and play areas.
To help them achieve this the pre-school is holding two gardening days where parents or anyone else who wants to help can go along and do their bit to make the dream into a reality.
Volunteers are needed to build raised beds, paint, plant and dig or just make the tea.
Donations are also being sought of wooden planks/pallets, plant pots, woodchip, bamboo canes or garden ornaments plus garden furniture which could be used for an outdoor lunch area.
The gardening days are taking place on Sunday, April 27 and Sunday, May 11 from 10am until 4pm on each day.
Any help, whether for one hour or the whole day, would be gratefully received and tea and biscuits will be provided.
Anyone with ideas or suggestions can speak to staff at the pre-school or by calling them on 01440 710926.
