A talk giving advice about how to trace your ancestry is to take place in Haverhill.

The Family History Group have invited professional genealogist Gill Blanchard to be their guest speaker at their next talk titled ‘Writing your family history’.

Mrs Blanchard, who is a historical biographer and writes for various magazines, will be on hand to give her expert advice during the event at the Old Independent Church Hall on April 14.

“For those interested in family and social history this is one not to be missed,” said Brian Thompson, chairman of the Family History Group.

Later in the year Mrs Blanchard will also be appearing at ‘Who Do You Think You Are? Live 2016’ at the NEC in Birmingham.

Everyone is welcome to attend the talk, which starts at 7.30pm and costs £1 for members and £2.50 for non-members.
