UK Power Networks engineers are currently repairing a complex underground fault on Haverhill’s electricity network system that affected almost 600 properties in the town centre.
Customers in the High Street and Queen Street areas of Haverhill would have seen an interruption to power at around 12.20pm this afternoon (Thursday, February 27) affecting 598 properties.
Customers would have had intermittent supplies as engineers worked as quickly and as safely as possible returning customers back to power in stages.
A spokesmwoman for UK Power Networks said: “There are currently 68 customers without supply and we would like to reassure them that we are working hard to restore their supplies as soon as we can.
“We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by this incident.”
