The A11 near Barton Mills in Suffolk has reopened, following an earlier serious incident.
The road had been closed in both directions between the Fiveways Roundabout (the A1065/A1101 junction) and the B1112 near Mildenhall after the two-vehicle collision.
The Highways Agency and its contractors have worked with partners including the police to reopen the road as soon as it is safe to do so. After the police concluded their investigation at the scene, the road was inspected for damage, repaired and resurfaced.
The road reopened at 16:40. There are residual delays in the area and drivers are advised to plan their journeys and allow extra time to travel.
