A women only networking group will get expert advice on how social media can be best used to benefit business when it next meets.
The Venus Business Club, which offers marketing advice and support to women who are in business, either as business owners or employees meets on Friday, August 1 at the Haverhill Golf Club from midday to 2pm in the upstairs function room.
Guest speaker Jenni Donno from Social Media Success will explain how Facebook and Twitter can be used effectively in business.
Jenni has been managing social media accounts on behalf of clients and training companies on how to use social media in a business context since 2010.
She said: “There are many myths surrounding social media and how effective it actually is for business. “There is no doubt that social media can be a time vampire and it is important to understand what your objectives are before you begin. Dabbling in it really doesn’t work!
“I am looking forward to sharing my expertise with the group. We will look at how Facebook and Twitter can be used successfully in a business environment and how to get the most from the time you invest in managing your social media platforms.”
Venus Business Circle is Elaine Carr, organiser of the Venus Business Circle events comments, “Social media was one of the topics that was highlighted during our first meeting in April as something the group wanted to find out more about.
