A man had his leg slashed with a knife in Chedburgh Place, Haverhill, between 8pm and 10pm on Saturday (January 4).
The slashing happened at the doorstep following an argument over the purchase of drugs.
Police sent armed response vehicles to the scene and four people were detained at the house, which was searched, but there was no sign of a knife or weapons.
It was noticed that the man had his leg slashed and he was taken to hospital, though did not account for his injuries.
“Was anyone there?”, said Inspector Peter Ferrie.
“Did you see anyone who’d been slashed or see the incident?
“I believe something would have been seen.”
Police have done enquiries but are searching for more information.
